The Story – Rediff.com is a service based portal on the internet. It provides information on a variety of categories. Rediff was in 1996 and is headquartered is Mumbai. Rediff’s free e-mail service provides unlimited storage. This website is also available as a mobile application.

India’s leading portal gives information on news, movies, cricket, music and stock markets. It also provides online shopping and social networking services.

Rediff was founded by Ajit Balakrishnan and earns forty million dollars a year. Hailing from a family of doctors, Ajit always wanted to become a footballer. He landed at IIM, Calcutta instead. At the age of 42, he founded rediff.com He ran the portal on no profit no loss basis for three years. Rediff.com is the only website that has found its place in the top ten websites of the world. Ajit recovered his investment of Rs 2 Crores and is earning much more than that.

Naukri was conceived and designed by Sanjiv Bikhchandani and is now earning six million dollars a year. Sanjeev is an alumini of two premiere institutions in India IIT and IIM. He was born in 1964 into a business class family. It took him thirteen years to make naukri a whopping success it is. He tried every possible business model for this idea. He tried selling resumes on CDs and lived on his wife’s salary for a number of years.

This CA dropout borrowed Rs 50,000 to start a company which is worth Rs 500 Crores today.

It also has blogging services available for its users. Sulekha.com was started in 1998 by Satya Prabhakar an NIT, Tiruchirapully student.

Satya got his venture funded by Indigo Monsoon Group and Northwest Venture Partners. It started with two employees. Today, Sulekha.com has 500 employees and offices in India, USA and Canada.

The Story – V.V.Raju started this novel concept of sending free SMS from a computer. He completed his MCA from Nagarjuna University.
