[caption id="attachment_14" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="what-is-blog"]what-is-blog[/caption]

The word blog is the amalgamation of the two words “web” and “log.” The term blogging often refers to sharing ones opinions, beliefs and thoughts on a website. The blogs could be for work or pleasure. Novices and beginners who wish to make a blog often ask this question “What exactly is blogging?” Online blogging can also be termed as an online diary where entries are displayed in a chronological, date wise manner. Blogs may also contain videos, graphics, images and links to other websites. Online blogs often become a forum for discussion as viewers are allowed to comment on what the “blogger” has written.

History of Blogging

Have we ever given a thought to how blogs became such a huge part and parcel of our lives? Everybody reads blogs. We follow blogs by celebrities, friends and relatives. We also read blogs on topics which interest us. It is such an immense source of information. www.Links.net is recognized as the first blogging site ever. It was created by Justin Hall in 1994. Justin Hall was a student at Swarthmore College then. He called Links.net his online personal diary.
John Barger coined the word “Web Log” in December 1997. Peter Meherloz who was  a programmer shortened “Web Log” to Blog in 1999.

Nowadays, Blog is a common part of every website. In 1998, the first instance of blogging on a traditional news site was observed when Jonathan Dube used blogging for “Charlotte Observer” by blogging the hurricane Bonnie.

Top 5 Reasons - Why You Have Not Made Your First Dollar Online Till Now?

There are a number of people who are trying their best to earn money online. Are you one of them? If yes, have you succeeded in making your first dollar online? If you know that you are working hard, you should have earned something by now. Does this fact disturb you? There could be many reasons why you have not been able to earn so far.
Please don’t take my post wrong. I am not a millionaire making obscene amounts of money by working online. I am a simple guy making a modest income. I am happy with whatever I earn. I am writing this blog so I can help you. I do not want you to commit the same mistakes I made when I started off. I can help you overcome your problems and make you earn your first dollar online.
Top 5 Reasons of Your Failure:

  • You are Too Lazy:
Nothing in this world comes easy. Most people think working online is the easiest way to make money and income will flow on its own. This is not the case. We all work hard for everything. We work hard to get a college degree. We struggle to get jobs and maintain them. Getting a good amount of money from working online also requires a lot of struggle and hard work. The amount of money you earn is directly dependent on the number of hours you put in.  Some people put in over eight to ten hours a day to earn a decent amount of money.

  • You Want Results Very Fast:

Every person who starts an online job wants quick results. If earning money online was so simple, every individual would quit a full time job to start earning online. People think that if they invest a hundred dollars today, they will earn a thousand tomorrow. If this was the case, why on earth would people do nine to five jobs? Online jobs take a lot of time in getting returns. You may take fifteen days to three months to start making a modest amount of money.
  •  You Are Not Ready To Learn:
An online job is as good as an offline job. You have to know your basics. There are no shortcuts to a successful career. People who do work online focus on making money fast. They do not focus on doing a good job or building a career or reputation. This is a wrong concept. You need to have good knowledge so be prepared to learn a lot of new things. There are a large number of websites related to online selling and marketing. You will also be able to read blogs of experienced marketers. Certain tips and tricks will do wonders to how much you can earn.
  •  You Don’t Respect Others:
Internet scams and fast money making proposals have taught people not to believe in internet marketers. There are many companies who work hard to make good products and services. Most people think that people who do online marketing sell trashy stuff. This is not true in most cases. There are lots of good people in the market too. They work extremely hard to promote or sell their products across the globe. Before you spend any amount of money, verify the seller by trying to contact them personally. These marketers are very successful people. You need to respect them a lot. Try learning tips and tricks from them too.
  • You Are Not Ready To Invest:

All businesses require a little investment. Similarly online businesses also require investments from individuals. We all spent money on getting a good college education. We all bought books for school. How can we expect any returns without spending a penny? Invest on a good program that teaches you tips and tricks of making money online. If you think you already know everything, think again. The internet is an ever changing place. There are hundreds of online programs for e-learning but before you buy anything, make sure that the company is not bogus. Contact them personally before you make any purchases from their website. If you are not willing to spend any money, then it is advisable that you quit. You need not spend any amount of time in trying to make money online.
If you think I am trying to sell something to you, then this is not the case. The web is full of e-books, tutorials and websites trying to teach you how to make money online. If you browse through my blogs you will also come across more articles about the same issue. You may request tutorials; I will try my best to help you make a few bucks online.

Google’s First Page- Just a Few Steps Away – Part 2

In my previous article about - How To Get On First Page Of Google In 24 Hours (Part 1), I have mentioned some useful strategies and hope these are working well for you. If it is so, you should try few more strategies that I have mentioned here in Part 2.

  •   SEO optimize the video
This is the last and most crucial step of getting on the first page of Google.
  •  Make sure you use the keyword in the title of the video. Preferably the keywords should be in the beginning of the title. You also need to use the keyword in the description of the video.
  • You should ensure that the link of your blog or website is the first line of the description. In this manner, the viewer of your video will be able to click on your link without expanding the description.
  •   Try to write a description of about 50-100 words. Use your keyword and related keywords atleast two to three times in the description
  • When you write the tags, ensure that they are at least 10-15 words long. A great way to write tags is to look for videos based on a similar theme as yours. You may copy tags from videos which have received a large number of clicks. In this manner, your video will started appearing in the “related videos” field when one of the popular videos is playing.
  • Make your video public and select the “allow comments automatically” option. The number of comments you receive, determines your rank on Google or YouTube.

Choice of keywords is the basis of this strategy; by choosing keywords which are “below the radar” you automatically lower the competition. In this manner, you can get to the top of Google rankings without building a single backlink. Another advantage of using this strategy is that Videos always standout on the Google search page.

The real beauty of this technique is that it is very simple to make videos. You can make several videos based on the content you write. Several videos based on “long tailing keywords” can generate huge amounts of traffic for your website.
This strategy has worked wonders for me. If you try it, I am sure it will work for you too.
